At this time of the year, we have much to cheer about.  Your favorite team just won a big game.  You finally passed your first spelling test.  You get to enjoy a snow day.  We cheer because we are happy about something and we want to show our enthusiasm and support.  Sometimes, though, we cheer only for ourselves, ignoring the One who gives us all our talents and abilities and even life itself.  Jesus makes us winners everyday even when we mess up.  He loves us so much He came down to be one of us and died to save us.  In Jesus, God always makes us winners.  At His coming to earth the angels, shepherds, and Magi cheered and during this Epiphany we too can branch out and tell everyone that the Savior is born. You have the opportunity to join us in an on-line survey about Emmanuel Lutheran School.  We are joining 70 other Lutheran Schools in the Michigan District in this unique offering that will allow us to strengthen our mission here at Emmanuel.  Just log on to www.myschoolsurvey.com and key in our school code, 602502.  You have until February 8, to complete this survey and thanks for participating. We look forward to a Kindergarten Round-Up on Wednesday, January 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the Kindergarten class room.  It is a great time to learn more about our kindergarten program and discover all the great things a kindergartener can do here at Emmanuel.  Please help spread the news to a neighbor, friend, or colleague who may be looking for a kindergarten for their child next year.  It will be a delightful and informative evening.
