Music Class and Choirs

On March 12, at the Concordia Music Festival, Emmanuel Middle School Choir took Division 1 Honors.

The Music Class is under the leadership of Mr. Jacob Weber.

Mr. Weber, a native of St. Joseph, MI, is a 2010 graduate from Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato, MN. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Music, he presently serves Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School as Kantor, fulfilling worship planning, teaching, and organ responsibilities. He also directs numerous ensembles at Emmanuel, including the Adult and Children's Choirs and Handbell Choirs, and the Adult Brass Ensemble. With experience as an organist and director, he is an active, published composer. His growing lists of choral and organ editions are available through Concordia Publishing House (St. Louis, MO) and Northwestern Publishing House (Milwaukee, WI).

Aside from his professional routine, he enjoys family gatherings, good food, recreational activities, and seasonal sports. Mr. Weber and his wife, Rachael, reside in Dearborn, along with Bisters and Maddie, the family cat and dog, respectively.
